How to get involved with Childbirth and...
If you have a story you would like to share than consider Childbirth and...as your avenue towards getting published. It is not necessary for you to be an accomplished writer, we have editors and guidelines that will help you as you write your piece. We accept content on an open door bases. This means you can submit your articles, poetry, or reviews as often and as quickly as you are able to write them and e-mail them to use. However, we do have open volunteer positions.

About volunteering for Childbirth and...

Writers
Director of Ad Sales

Blogger. A blogger is self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines. This person is able to write two entries a week, topics include: menarche experiences, tips for being prepared for the first period, product/book reviews, and information about menarche celebrations. All content must be original and error free. *Childbirth and... will own the copyrights for one(1) year, after a year the rights will return to you.

This person must:

• have internet and e-mail, and be able to respond to e-mail within twenty-four hours

• be a creative writer

• write two entries a week, totaling 50-100 words

• have good communication skills

• have good grammar and punctuation

Writer. This position will be filled by someone who is a self-motivator, someone with good communication skills, who is able to meet deadlines, and has internet and e-mail, and responds to e-mail within twenty-four hours. Content must be original and error free. *Childbirth and... will hold the copyrights for one(1) year, after a year the rights will return to you.

This person must:

• be able to write two articles a month, 300-800 words each.

• have good communication skills

• have good grammar and punctuation

• be able to research in books and online

• be able to write informative content, no filling of unnecessary words

• be able to interview professionals within the field of menarche and newmoon celebrations for informative articles

• be a creative writer

Director of Ad Sales. A self-motivator and people person, who is able to work with deadlines. Must have internet and e-mail, and respond to e-mail within twenty-four hours.

This person must:

• be creative

• have effective presentation skills

• have good communication skills

• have good written expression

• be able to work well with people

• be know how to use Microsoft Word and Microsoft Publisher

• be able to design advertisements

*All Childbirth and... volunteers must be able to actively promote Menses Today within their networks, including Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, and LinkedIn, and they must be become a public follower of the blog.
