PRESS RELEASE: GUAYAQUIL, ECUADOR, January 20, 2011: Childbirth and Postpartum Professional Association (CAPPA) Ecuador under the leadership of Priscilla Loor and Jennifer Bertha will offer labor doula training in Spanish to all interested future labor doulas whose native language is Spanish or those who wish to work with Spanish speaking families. The training will be held at the Hyatt Regency in Valencia California on June 22 and 23 of the present year, just prior to the CAPPA Annual Conference. This training is a collaborative effort between CAPPA Headquarters and CAPPA Ecuador in an effort to continue to promote the CAPPA Global vision.

For over a decade, CAPPA's mission has been to offer comprehensive, evidence-based education, certification, professional membership and training to childbirth educators, lactation educators, labor doulas, antepartum doulas and postpartum doulas worldwide. Through its history CAPPA has grown internationally with branches in Canada, Israel, India and Ecuador. The Ecuador branch has adapted all of the CAPPA certifications in Spanish, and is eager to offer these trainings in Ecuador and in the United States.

These trainings are one of the requirements, among many others, to become CAPPA Certified. CAPPA holds a strict certification process to ensure excellence in all of its certifications.

CAPPA Labor Doula Training in Spanish will be held on June 22nd and 23rd from 9 to 6 pm. And will have a cost of $400.00. Additional fees apply for purchase of certification package and evaluation process.
